Why worldly flavors are good for your baby

May 27, 2026

Risotto. Couscous. Tagine.

Might not sound like typical baby food. Yet it is exactly what Little Maryam offers your little one. And there is a very good reason for that.

Starting early pays off

Getting to know flavors starts earlier than you think. Even in the womb, your baby tastes what you eat through the amniotic fluid. After birth, this continues through breast milk. And as soon as the first bites begin, around 6 months, your little one is ready for it.

Research shows that babies who are exposed to a wide range of flavors early on are less picky later. They accept new foods more easily and have a more varied diet.

That doesn't mean your little one will always like everything. Flavors sometimes need to be offered several times before a child accepts them. That is completely normal. Don't panic if the jar is rejected. Just keep trying.

Why we choose global flavors

Not because we want to impress with a fancy menu. But because global flavors are naturally rich in vegetables, herbs, and proteins. A tagine is full of carrots, potatoes, and chicken. Couscous combines vegetables with whole grains. Risotto provides a soft, creamy texture that is perfect for the mouths of young heroes and heroines

All our recipes are co-developed by specialized pediatric dietitians. Not to be trendy, but because these combinations of ingredients provide exactly what a growing body needs.

The world is big. And your little one is going to discover it, one bite at a time.
